Long time no see eh!Life get's in the way but I have been crafting have no fear of that just not the time to blog. However thought I would get back into it and see if I can carry it on.
Right today's card is made with the lovely Lavinia stamps and a new technique to me,the black ice technique is something I had never heard of until I happen to see a fabulous card made by the lovely Amanda Branston.
Silver mirri card and black archival ink and clear embossing powder and a choice of stamp oh and not forgetting the all important embossing ink pad was all that was used.
So not much to it really just carefully drag your black archival ink pad very gently over your mirri card, make sure the mirri doesn't move as you don't want wiggly line's,in downwards motion. Then heat it til it's dry. Then carefully stamp your images.Heat set them too. Then carefully drag your embossing pad downwards over your mirri again very lightly.Pour over your embossing powder then heat set.All being well you should then see the black ice effect.
There are plenty of youtube video's to show how this is done so why not take a look and have ago?I love this technique but it can be tricky to stamp onto mirri card cos of slipage.I used my stamping platform as it was easier.
Ok darklings take care and happy crafting 💀

I like the black ice technique but I have never given it a try! I think you did a fabulous job and your project has a strong visual impact. Very nicely crafted, indeed! Thanks so much for sharing with us at A Place To Start!
